I guess professionals, once they climb on their own, will do everything to avoid the crowd on the normal route. Why? Properly as there are way less stone falls, on a route, where there are nobody above….

Gerlindes non ox 14 8000 challange is natually impressing, but once you note, that she and Ralf never pitch a easy route, then at least I, get really impressed.

Not the first, not the second….just the best!

Our trip to the North Ridge of K2 in 2000 was incredible – one of my favorite campsites in the world was on the Shanksgam about two days from Aghil Pass. Incredibly beautiful. Send a lot of pictures. I look forward to reading your updates from the trail and mountain.
